BONNIE AND CLYDE “DEATH CAR” “CLONE”
This 1934 Ford Deluxe Fordor V-8 Sedan was restored by Sandy Jones, director of the John Dillinger Historical Society, to be an exact duplicate of the car Clyde Barrow was driving when he and his girlfriend, Bonnie Parker, were ambushed and killed by a posse of Texas and Louisiana officers in Bienville Parish, Louisiana on May 23, 1934.
Probably the most famous gangster car in the world, the original Bonnie and Clyde Death Car is on display at Whiskey Pete’s Casino in State Line Nevada. Mr. Jones was given
access to the original car by Whiskey Pete’s management, and was able to photograph and document it completely. As a result, this car is, in all respects, as close to a “clone” of the original car as is possible today, given the limits of research, and certain safety concerns.
The Death Car “(‘lone” has been featured on The History Channel series “Auto Maniacs,” the 13130 “Time Watch – The Real Bonnie and Clyde,” and the movie “Billy Graham: The Early Years.”
